For the first time in Ireland, adults in Ireland took part in a National Suicide Bereavement Survey, providing a national profile of the impact of suicide bereavement and the needs of the estimated 60,000 people affected by suicide every year in Ireland. This survey gives an understanding of the emotional and physical impact of suicide bereavement, as well as identifying the gaps and barriers to accessing appropriate supports for those affected. We are very proud of our collaboration with the NSRF in producing this first report and of the 2,413 people bereaved or impacted by suicide who took part.
