A FREE information evening, “Suicide Bereavement Support Awareness” will take place Thursday 9th May. The event will start at 7pm in the Tullamore Court Hotel, O’Moore Street, Tullamore, Offaly, R35 D406. There is no need to register for this event, all are welcome.
What to expect:
7pm doors open with refreshments and people are welcome to visit local support services’ information tables including HUGG – the national charity for suicide bereavement, Pieta – Suicide Bereavement Liaison Service, and the HSE – Resource officer for Suicide Prevention.
7.15pm Speakers from Pieta, HUGG and the HSE will highlight supports available to help family, friends, and communities cope with a loss from suicide.
7.45pm A personal story of suicide loss will be shared, focusing on what bereavement support services were found supportive and helpful along their grief journey.
8pm Event ends, opportunity to visit support services’ information tables.
This event will be beneficial to adults bereaved by suicide, regardless of the length of time since the death occurred, the relationship the person had to the person who died by suicide, or the circumstances of the death. Also, if you are supporting someone bereaved by suicide, we encourage you to attend.
