HUGG Announced as 2025 Musgrave Gives Back Charity Partner

We are absolutely delighted to share that HUGG has been chosen as one of Musgrave’s 2025 Musgrave Gives Back charity partners.

Musgrave Gives Back is a long-standing and impactful initiative that has raised over €5.5 million for Irish charities since it began in 2002. Each year, Musgrave colleagues nominate and select charities they believe are making a meaningful difference—and in 2025, HUGG will be one of four chosen charities to benefit from this incredible programme.

We are honoured to be joining Breakthrough Cancer Research, Multiple Sclerosis Ireland, and Homeless Help as charity partners for the year ahead.

Why This Partnership Matters

HUGG supports adults who have been bereaved by suicide. We provide safe, non-judgmental spaces—both in person and online—where people can connect with others who truly understand what they’re going through. All of our services are grounded in compassion, empathy, and lived experience.

Being part of the Musgrave Gives Back campaign means we can:

  • Recruit, train, and support our amazing volunteers, who lead our suicide bereavement support groups across Ireland

  • Expand our reach, by opening new groups and piloting new initiatives like HUGG Walks, Grief Cafés, and creative workshops

  • Break the stigma around suicide loss through awareness campaigns, public events, and community education

  • Advocate for better bereavement support, using evidence and lived experience to inform national policy and practice

This partnership isn’t just about fundraising. It’s about coming together with a purpose—to build a more compassionate Ireland where no one has to face suicide loss alone.

Looking Ahead

The Musgrave Gives Back campaign will run throughout the year, culminating in a major community celebration at SuperValu Páirc Uí Chaoimh on 22nd August 2025. We’re looking forward to being part of that incredible day.

We extend our heartfelt thanks to the Musgrave team and to every colleague who nominated HUGG. Your support will help bring hope and healing to homes and communities across the country.
