Grief after suicide loss can feel incredibly isolating. It often leaves loved ones searching for ways to remember and connect. At HUGG, we believe in the power of shared experience and creative expression to bring comfort and hope. Join our special “Say Their Name” Suicide Loss Memorial Quilt – Creative Workshop. This unique event offers a supportive space to honour your loved one.
Honouring Loved Ones Through Creation
This workshop helps you create a lasting tribute. You will hand-craft an individual fabric square. Each square will honour a loved one who died by suicide. The finished memorial quilt communicates a powerful message: suicide grief does not have to be faced alone. It offers a tangible symbol of collective remembrance and healing.
- Who Can Attend: Both men and women are welcome. No prior crafting or sewing experience is necessary. Our expert instructor will guide you.
- What You’ll Do: Explore and discover meaningful memories of your loved ones through needle crafting. Felting artist and expert, Marie Hopkins, will guide you through this process.
- The Environment: We provide a supportive, compassionate space. You will connect with others who share the experience of suicide loss. This fosters comfort, understanding, and hope.
The Power of Shared Remembrance
Creating together can be incredibly healing. This workshop allows participants to process grief in a gentle, creative way. You will share stories and memories in a safe environment. This helps to reduce the isolation often associated with suicide bereavement. Your individual square becomes part of something larger. It contributes to a collective tapestry of love and remembrance.
This is more than a craft workshop. It is an opportunity for connection and collective healing. We believe saying their name and honouring their memory openly is a vital step in the grief journey.
Join us to create a beautiful tribute and find strength in community.
