The Shona Project organised the largest virtual gathering of inspirational Irish women ever to the girls and women of Ireland which ran online March 10th – 12th. The SHINE festival was a free event for teenage girls, which saw over 300 schools and 40,000 girls sign up to hear 80 inspirational women speak about topics such as mental health, consent, art, careers and sports. HUGG’s Fiona Tuomey participated on the Wellness Stage, discussing suicide prevention and how to be a good mental health support. The festival was a huge support with the diverse range of videos being watched over 800,000 times.
