Irish Steel Awards Charity Partner of the Year! This partnership marks a significant step in our mission to provide support to those affected by suicide.
More than 500 people die by suicide in Ireland every year and 73% of these deaths are men. Further research shows that following a death by suicide, 65% of men and 68% of women impacted by that suicide, experience mental health problems.
This partnership with Irish Steel stems from our shared commitment to supporting mental health and well-being, particularly within the Irish Steel industry, where these issues too often go unaddressed. HUGG and Irish Steel want the industry to know that understanding suicide grief and connecting with others can be lifesaving.
