“The Care Trust is proud to have HUGG as one of our special charitable projects. The invaluable support they provide to adults bereaved by suicide aligns with our commitment to raising funds to enable innovation, development and enhancement in the services that our charity partners deliver”

HUGG’s services are offered to the public free of charge. As we receive less than 33% in State funding, support from the public and partners ensures that we can continue to deliver our vital service. We know from our research that people bereaved by suicide are at a higher risk for their own mental health and suicidal ideation* and that availing of suicide bereavement support groups can help lower their traumatic grief* *
With your support, we can continue to offer evidence-based research and support services that are life-saving.

We have opportunities for short or long-term partnerships. Together, we can create a partnership that will have a positive impact on employees while also helping us to maintain and grow our national service to ensure that no one bereaved by suicide walks this path alone.

Corporate Partnership
With support from The Care Trust, HUGG was able to host a Suicide Bereavement Remembrance Event. This was a time to come together to find connection, hope and healing through a shared experience. Remembering loved ones and saying their name, helped us to break the silence that often follows a death by suicide. A parting gift was also made possible and we handed out ‘Seeds of Hope’ to invite people to plant wildflowers in memory of their loved ones.

We highly value the meaningful partnerships we have formed. Our partners share our vision of hope and healing after suicide. Each partnership is unique and designed to work with you and your colleagues to create a shared experience that will align with your values, meet your objectives, engage your employees and support your fundraising initiatives.
Charity Partner of the Year
Becoming the charity partner of the year with Irish Steel, allowed us to reach a predominately male audience that often does not connect with support services. We will provide a suicide grief webinar to help their staff understand and cope with this specific type of grief. Their annual Irish Steel Awards will also see some of the proceeds of their ticket sales donated to HUGG.
